About Us

About Us

Memorial Park Cemetery was founded in 1926 at the corner of Sixth Avenue and Gage. The 50 gently rolling acres serve as the final resting place for generations of Topeka families.

Our cemetery is home to memorial gardens, a beautiful outdoor mausoleum and numerous cremation memorials throughout the grounds. It is also a beautiful place to take an evening stroll, feed the ducks and attend a concert or special event.

Perpetual Care

Memorial Park is a perpetual care cemetery, backed by over $1 million in care funds to ensure that the beautiful cemetery you visit today will be preserved forever.

While many other cemeteries are dependent on today's income for tomorrow's maintenance, our fully-funded trust funds ensure the cemetery's future.

Events at Memorial Park

We hold several special events throughout the year, including our Memorial Day activities, a fall Concert in the Park and winter Holiday Remembrance Service. All of these provide families a time to gather, reflect and remember.

See our Event Page for more information.

A Place for the Living

Memorial Park is a beautiful resting place for our loved ones, but it is also a place for our community to gather.

Generations of Topekans grew up picnicking at our gazebo and feeding the ducks at the pond. Every day walkers and joggers enjoy the roads that wind through the beautiful grounds.

We carefully maintain the cemetery grounds to provide a welcoming experience for visitors year-round.
